One good thing about my trivial code. It's better than other peoples code. The bad side... I have a feeling I am going to have to help some other people with code in the next couple of days.

Another thing about coding... When you have to fix somebody elses crazy complex code and you figure it out it's a pretty good feeling of accomplishment.

So I bought a new motherboard to fix the broken previous gaming machine. Got a nice Asus board and a new quieter CPU fan. The RAM from didn't fit so had to buy new RAM. Put everything together and powered up the machine only the motherboard doesn't kick in for like 5 minutes. Checked everything. Flashed the BIOS. The power supply I put in was below the recommended spec for the board. Got another one from NOPAL that is more than enough but no improvement. Gonna have to pull it all apart this weekend and make sure it's not shorting on the case or something.

Work continues to overwhelm. The ad and game migrations deadlines are coming up fast. I only hope we know everything we have to do and don't get a big surprise on launch day. I was checking out the behind the scenes part of the cinematic announce trailer today (Thanks Blue's News) and was thinking the coding I do is pretty trivial compared to making games.

I was just talking to NOPAL a couple of days ago about XCOM and wouldn't you know today ActionTrip has a video of the new XCOM. Game play looks similar to the original with some new cool features and much improved graphics. This looks like one to pick up. (Thanks ActionTrip)
