Woooo!!! Finally beat Raam in Gears of War after only a year after starting. I had to reinstall the game because it didn't like my DVD reader being a different letter from when I originally installed. Luckily after it forced me to uninstall before reinstalling it didn't lose my saved game. All those 'how to' sites are right in saying shoot him with the Torque Bow till you are out of arrows and then throw grenades at him and then finish him off with the Lancer. They should also mention witing till Raam moves up to an area where there are lights so that his Kryll shield leaves him unprotected before you start shooting. If you are lucky he will stay in the same spot while you unload all your arrows.
Ahhhh. All my meetings are done for the week unless somebody decides to call a last minute one before the holidays. Now if people would just put their jobs in the Sharepoint instead of emailing me directly.
I finally managed to finish watching Battlestar Galactica on Netflix. It was a good series. Some of the episodes were kinda slow at the beginning of the final season but it got really good towards the end and left me satisfied. More satisfied than stupid Lost. That was a waste of time with all the unanswered questions.
Steampowered.com is having massive sales on tons of games! You can find some as low as 2 bucks! Check their site daily as there are new games available every 24 hours. The only bummer is a lot of these cool games won't work with my videocard because it lacks support for Pixel Shader 3. I read an article recently about stores in England trying to band together to ban games that are sold on Steam beacuse the stores aren't making any money. The same stores that only carry about 20 PC titles anyway. Maybe if those stores carried hundreds of games, sold them for 2 bucks, let you try the game demo and didn't make you have to leave your house to get the games they would make a lot more sales.
I wish Christmas would hurry up and get here. Not so much for the presents but for the time off. This week has been dragging and I was feeling done on Monday. At least I can work from home so I don't have to drive in the rain. Speaking of the rain, I am sitting here watching it thinking I use to like the rain a lot more when I wasn't a home owner. Now I find myself worrying about what damage is all that water doing to my house. My house doesn't look so bad but I don't know what's going on with the rental property. It's not around the corner so it's not like I can quickly go check on it. It's was also re-keyed so I currently don't have a key to get in. Maybe I am worrying too much because of the wall that needed to be rebuilt in that house. I lived there for a long time and never noticed any damage then. It probably took 30 years for the rain to damage the wall and I am thinking it's going to happen again in a couple of months. Then again, I heard that the extra door put in to the backyard may be badly situated and water may be coming in under it. Hopefully the house will be listed for sale in a couple of weeks and I can be done with it and maybe I will enjoy listening to the rain again.
DOH! Netflix went and made Battlestar Galactica DVD only while I'm only half way through season 4. Why couldn't they have done it like they do with movies where they say it will no longer be available after a certain date when you look in your queue?
Rovio has released a new Angry Birds Seasons for Android phones that includes the Halloween episode previously released for iPhones plus a new Christmas episode. I would add a link but Nopal told me about it on my work instant message and I don't feel like logging in to work to get it. Get Angry Birds Seasons from the Android Market.
DOH! I take back what I said about Netflix. Battlestar Galactica is available in my instant queue again so I am gonna go watch the next episode now.
