I have been trying to make my way through Left 4 Dead 2's Dark Carnival on the hard setting. By hard they mean just when you think you are about to reach the safe house, they unleash like 200 zombies on you. You can't just sit there and try to gun them all down because they will just keep coming so you have to run head on in to them and try to make a path through to a point where they will stop spawning. I've had a couple of level finishes where just about every player on my 4 man team was just about dead.
>The new downloadable content for Left 4 Dead is now available. It's called The Sacrifice and man is it tough. The third level has you fighting a swarm of undead and 3 Tanks. I jumped on a mounted gun and they still got by me and wiped us out. It doesn't help that all my people are still on the ground instead of up on the bridge where they aren't as easy targets. For a limited time you can get the original Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2 for under 7 bucks or get both for $10.19!
Valve has updated Team Fortress 2 again. This time to add trading of items and a microtransaction store where if you can't wait to get a weapon randomly dropped, you can buy it for real money. They also have new kits that you can outfit your character that will give them extra ammo or health. There's too much stuff going on in the game now. I just want to go in and shoot stuff and not have to worry about if I am wearing my fuzzy boots of +3 stealth. Luckily the stuff you can buy won't give you an advantage over players who choose not to buy stuff because I won't be buying stuff. Anyway, check out the official Team Fortress 2 website for all the information on the Mann-conomy Update. You can pick up Team Fortress 2 for $9.99 this weekend if you haven't already.
We were notified of the reorginazation that the tech team would be going through in the next couple of weeks. I am on the 'new tech' team coming up with the new stuff we will be implementing on the tech side or something like that. I heard there will be scrums and junk. I should probably find that Agile book I got a while ago that I couldn't get through the first couple of pages of because it put me to sleep. In other news, there's talk of switching to JSP. I'm gonna have to figure out how to add JSP to the DOH! Network's Apache setup.
