ActionTrip has a couple of cool new videos to check out. First is the Need For Speed: Shift Laguna Seca trailer. The racing looks sweet. I'd like to see more damage being done to the cars that affects the handling and aerodynamics but the NFS series is still a good arcade racer.

ActionTrip also has a tasty StarCraft 2 Single-player trailer. It stays true to the original with improved graphics and animations. I can't wait for this one. Every time I watch it, it makes me want to break out the original StarCraft.

Sweet! The Team Fortress crew just released another update for Team Fortress 2. This time it's the Classless Update. No updates to characters but a new game type, new hats and a couple of new maps. All the new stuff is...

  • Added King Of The Hill game mode.
  • Added custom animations played by the losing team during the post-win state. They are moved into third person camera to enjoy them.
  • Added lots of new hats.
  • Added koth_Viaduct.
  • Added ctf_Sawmill
  • Added community map Arena_Offblast
  • Added community map Cp_Yukon

Now if only the Left 4 Dead updates were this worthwhile.

Kotaku has the new trailer for id Software's new FPS RAGE. The first person shooter parts look great. I'd have to actually test drive it to be sure of the driving sections as I've played some driving games that looked great were pretty lame gamewise. It is id Software though and they are good for not putting out lame stuff. (Thanks Blue's News)

The demo for Batman: Arkham Asylum has been released over on nZone. Word is the system requirements are way lower than they should be and I don't like that it's got nVidia all over it. Will it work on my couple of years old ATI card. I'll try to find out this weekend. (Saw it on Blue's News.)

Blizzard has pushed the release date of StarCraft 2 to 2010 so they can upgrade Battle.net so you can only multiplayer it through their game servers. DOH! If they had just put in LAN play, it would be good to go. Fix that Battle.net stuff later. (Thanks 1up.com by way of ActionTrip) Click here to sign up for the StarCraft 2 beta test.

The DOH! Network Trackmania Nations Forever server has been getting a lot of business lately. The server can't handle more than 4-6 players on first person shooters but the Trackmania server will see up to 36 players racing without issues. Nice! Download the full Trackmania Nations Forever for free and check it out for yourself.
