DOH! Network

GameTrailers.com has the new hi-def Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer trailer. I wasn't too into it at E3 but now seeing the multiplayer clips, I am starting to think this may be the game of the year. Infinity Ward is one of the better developers who always put out good games and MW2 is looking to be a lot of fun.

I picked up Wii Sports Resort yesterday and messed around with it some last night. Archery is pretty good but as a whole, Wii Sports Resort is not all that great. If I had to choose between Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit, I would say the games are more enjoyable on the Wii Fit. And even though the Wii Fit is 89 dollars you would spend almost that much if you were to buy Wii Sports Resort plus three extra Wii MotionPlus controllers at 20 dollars each. I haven't tried it without the MotionPlus to see if the games are any different yet. I was going to unleash the kids on it today and see how they like it but it's 8am and they are already fighting. And I don't remember the Wii MotionPlus needing to be recalibrated every five minutes at E3 either. What's up with that?

If you want to be blown away by a really slow Flash site that may have a bunch of info about the game but I don't have the patience to sit through the loading process of all the swfs to find out, check out https://www.aftertheimpact.com/

Checking out the Team Fortress 2 Achievements page, I am ten achievements behind Sabre aka Shinbou. I'll need to get playing the Scout, Spy and Sniper classes in the next couple of days to make up some ground. I'm down to the last couple of Medic, Pyro, Heavy and General achievements and they are taking a long time to rack up the needed points. I was close to getting the Medic 'Uber ten of your friends' achievement until I ubered Uniballer aka VincentClark and he screwed up my stats so I am back to one now.

Man! It was a busy week at work this week what with the new Wizards of Waverly Place movie site and the Scavenger Sweepstakes site going live plus all the other minor updates on Summer of Stars and Mackenzie Falls. Luckily I had some back up on Mackenzie Falls because there was trouble with the ads and video player.

I was hoping to jump into a game of Team Fortress 2 but now Steam has gotten corrupted so I have to reinstall that before I can play. That's happened a couple of times now. I'll have to troubleshoot some to see if I can figure out what's causing it. Might be easier to just buy a new computer. Sweet!

While I was waiting for Steam to reinstall I saw in the news that an update for Left 4 Dead is coming soon. Cross your fingers for a sale weekend.

I installed Red5, an open source Flash Media Server and the FlashPioneer Video Chat demo to see if the kids could use it to chat while playing Club Penguin and Fairies. You can see the FlashPioneer Video Chat app in action on the DOH! Nework webchat page. I should remove the Google ads since the links are all for 'adult chat' and the kids will be using the private chat.

It's so nice to come home from vacation to find your house has not burned down or broken into. I'll have to check with the Wii Fit this weekend and see how fat it thinks I am now after all the food i was eating on the cruise.
