Why is it that Blu-ray players are still only single disc players? What's so hard about taking a five or more disc DVD player and swapping out the laser for a Blu-ray? I was thinking I would check them out this weekend just to see what the prices are like and they are coming down but can I please get a multi disc changer? I know what they are doing because they do it to me all the time. They wait for me to buy what ever they are currently selling and as soon as I get it home, they will release the multis or lower the price by like a third! I'm not falling for it this time! I can hold out longer than them!! They will not take my money on an outdated player!!!!!!!
E3 was a lot better this year than the previous years. The original Mexican In Black, Nopal and I made a surprise guest appearance there on Thursday. Pictures can be found here and here. There were a lot of good looking games this year.
The surprise game that Nopal and I had to go back and play a couple of times was Split/Second. A fun racer with destructable environments. Check out the official site for videos and info.
I wasn't impressed with the new Left 4 Dead 2 though. I think what makes the original great is the dark setting that makes it really creepy. It's just not the same during the day. Some of the owners of the original Left 4 Dead are planning to boycott the release of L4D2 because they feel they are still owed some downloadable content that was promised earlier. I'll do them one better and I will boycott buying even the original Left 4 Dead at least until it's available for $9.99. Valve has not made a statement on how much the new game will run ya so maybe it won't be that bad a purchase anyway. We'll have to wait and see.
Wii Sports Resort looks fun. I stink at archery. I did get a Frisbee® though.
Aaarrrrgg!!! Stupid computer!!! We were about to win in Team Fortress 2 when suddenly my computer monitor went black and all sound stopped. I don't know if I was still in the server or if I had been booted to the desktop. Had to reboot so at least the computer didn't toast itself. I really don't want to have to start buying new parts and troubleshooting. I usually guess wrong when buying parts and end up at the opposite end from the issue so it's the last piece I replace before the problem is resolved.
The gang over at Valve Software after reading my posts about how much I missed having achievements to unlock weapon upgrades in Team Fortress 2 have gone back and re-enabled the achievements with their latest update. Thank you Valve. The magic has returned.

Valve announced today that they would be releasing Left 4 Dead 2 some time around November. The Valve Left 4 Dead forums are on fire with people complaining that the original Left 4 Dead still needs a ton of work and Valve is abandoning them. The game looks the original only with daytime missions and a new crew so who knows. Maybe it will be an expansion pack and not cost 50 bucks like the current one.
