I'm coming up on the end of the first project at work. I tell ya, it really stinks doing Agile and being the front end guy because the front end is what everybody wants to see so I get stuck doing the bi-weekly presentation every time. Sure the other guys expand on what I am showing but I have to bring the laptop and get it all set up and be sure I didn't break anything right before the demo. And what's up with this Mac laptop? Now I find myself trying to copy/paste on the pc like I do on the Mac and that doesn't work. Grrrr!
I have been diggin' the new X-COM Enemy Unknown. Thanks to Crypt for gifting it to me. Fireaxis did a great job of retaining my childhood while enhancing the experience. Key words are 'have been'. Stupid aliens infiltrated the company bankrolling my XCOM team and shut us down. You let one or two motherships get away and you're out of luck. Now I have to start over. Note to self: don't build laser weapons except the sniper rifle or the robot soldiers. Also spend more money upgrading the Interceptors and capture live aliens early. Maybe by the time i finish it, the follow up The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will have come down in price.
