The boss is a full on jQuery hater at work. He keeps pointing out how much slower jQuery is to just plain javascript by running side by side comparisons of a jquery function versus a plain javascript function. Some of the differences are pretty sizable and yet companies want jQuery experience. If they only knew. Plus any time you google how to do something in javascript, all the responses are 'here's how to do it in jQuery', 'jQuery does it easily'. Dreamweaver and Front Page did things easily too but you don't see serious developers putting those on their resumes.
Playing through Portal 2 the other day to get some achievements I missed the first time around I noticed that two of them I totally remember getting previously. I looked through a couple of other games and all of my Batman: Arkham City and Half-Life 2 achievements are gone. Metro 2033 only shows 3 achievements completed. Looks like I will have to play through those again one of these days.
I thought I could write off The Walking Dead game achievements as 100% completed when I finished the game but they looped in the expansion pack achievements. Now it will be another 5 bucks to complete those. Who's to say they won't release another expansion after that? Think I will move on to another game.
