I finally got my javascript worked out. Firefox is still saying window.location.href is not a valid javascript function but window.open(newURL,'_parent') is so that is resolved. I wrote some sweet code to change the dropdown to the current page selected too. Now to figure out why IE9 isn't stacking the character nav and shout out ticker correctly.
It's a Bad Code Day™! Code that should work doesn't. Apparently window.location.href is no longer a valid javascript function.
I don't want to go to work today.
I am amazed that I work with a bunch of engineers and none of them knows how to install our proprietary cms server software except the guy on vacation for a month.
UPDATE: Sounds like I was doing it all wrong when trying to set up the new cms. I have more info now that may help and maybe even an engineer!! Woohoo!!!
Perforce versus Sharepoint: I am thinking I prefer Sharepoint. Changing Perforce to use the Scrum template didn't do much for my tickets. Story points are only available if you can get the producer to dig down to the Agile section and so far it looks like if the producers don't add them you can't go back and add the points later. I need to spend more time on configuring it. Maybe if my new engineer can set up the new cms and I don't have to worry about that I might have time.
Arrrghhh!!! Linked In stop sending me weekly updates!!! I disabled all emails and you keep spamming me!
I am getting more and more frustrated with Starcraft 2. I think I'm pretty good at real time strategy games but playing Starcraft 2 on hard or even normal is a lot of restarting over and over again. It doesn't help that the game takes like 5 minutes to restart often with me having to log in again. I'm starting to think I just want to play it on easy skill level so I can be done with it.
The bachelor pad has finally sold and the money is in the bank. Hopefully I won't need to hear about that house ever again. Not that there was anything wrong with it but I am done with putting time and money into it. I have my own house to worry about. I don't need a rental property. Next on the schedule: refinance my house to any other bank than Bank of America.
Update on Google+ versus Facebook: People will add anybody if they have some friends in common. I see a lot of requests from people I have never met but we seem to have a lot of friends in common. I asked an actual friend the other day if he knew who one of these people was and he said no but the person knew a lot of the same people so he added him. I saw a new phone advertised on tv the other day that had a Facebook button. I hate when companies add buttons for specific things. Don't you know Facebook isn't going to be cool one day? At least the kids Nintendo DSis can get a software update to remove Facebook if something else comes along but when you have a button right on the front of your phone with a big Facebook 'f' on it that says 'fail' to me.
Update on the old bachelor pad: Buyer #6 may actual make it to the end of escrow hopefully next week.
Update on Plants vs. Zombies: Only 18 of 21 achievements left. Why does Steam always make me enter an access code when logging in to the website? Can't they figure out it's me without local cookies?
Update on Chewy Stewie: He chewed through the cord for the laptop.
