GameTrailers.com's Geoff Keighley has an interview with Chet Faliszek, one of Valve's writers for Left 4 Dead 2 talking about the upcoming downloadable content for Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. Just when I had written the original Left 4 Dead off, Valve is going to release a new campaign for it. Be warned, the video interview has a spoiler if you haven't played Left 4 Dead 2 yet. A 150-page digital comic will be released in 4 parts prior to the DLC giving you some insite into the backstories of the original L4D characters and how they come together. (Thanks BluesNews)
The official Game Republic website has had an update and moved to Google. Keep checking back for updates on this year's E3... Wait a minute... E3 already happened. Maybe they mean next year's E3.
Woohoo! I actually got to write some new original code today at work. Well, it's not like it was given to me. I saw a need for some code to work a certain way and in an effort to make it not take a couple of hours to do, I wrote some code and sent it to the appropriate parties and it was integrated. Look for my image viewer code coming to a D23 website near you hopefully this week. A little extra coding and it should be able to do that lightbox stuff the kids are all into these days. Hopefully my nav roll over code will be included too. Bonus!
I did the D23 code to take a break from the high scores fix I have been tasked with. I was able to get the high scores working on Sonny With A Chance's 'Round 'em Up' game but the whole css part that puts the scoreboard behind the game until it is needed is screwed up for some reason so that it's always covering the game making the game unplayable. I will be looking at that again tomorrow if I have time between assigning jobs to the team since the other two assigners are out of the office all day tomorrow. Plan of attack is to tear the whole game page down to just the game and scoreboard and see what's screwy and fix that and then put the other stuff back in once the bug is resolved. Watch for that coming to the Sonny With A Chance site soon.
Thanks to Burning Mass I was able to check out the full version of Star Craft II: Wings of Liberty for 14 minutes. It will work on my current game system and it stays true to the original so I will be adding it to my Christmas wish list for sure.
