Part 1 of the Minecraft – Caves & Cliffs update is out now. Time to boot up Minecraft again and see what's new in the latest version. I was messing around with it last night after I figured out I need to update Java on the DOH! Network server to host the server and it looks like previous seeds do not work anymore. Trying to run the original seed used on the DOH! Network server put me in a valley I have never seen before. I use to spawn in the middle of a small woodsy area on a small island. I really liked that seed. I was hoping to see what had changed from previous versions to the latest version with an environment I was pretty familiar with.

Besides new caves and cliffs, this update also adds goats and axolotl. Both sound like jerks with goats bumping you off high places and axolotl fighting everything in the water including all those fish you might be trying to catch. A bummer is some of the info provided to gamedig to build the DOH! Network Games page is no longer provided.

We are starting to ignore issues with Internet Explorer 11 at work. I really hope if I ever have to find new employment and it is in the front end software development field, what ever company it is has also dropped support for IE11 or any IE other than the Chrome powered Microsoft Edge.
