Just about everything is back to normal with the server. There's still a problem with some PHP used on the top nav bar and the game server page that I am looking into. It's a problem with something that worked in PHP4 but not in PHP5. Looks like an issue with PHP5-cgi. For now the game servers page is redirecting to Nopal's server so you can see who is online at least.
Thank God for egrep or else my server woulda been thrown out the window like Shaka's. A full install of Slackware 12 doesn't mean everything is just going to work and thanks to egrep, I got most of it working again. I lost a bunch of updates I did to the site in the last month that have to be redone but the server and mail are working again. I need to redo the chrome to be PHP5 compliant and then I can rebuild the trailers page. Also need to figure out what happened to the games page and then fix all the URLs to point to those sections and the webcam portal.
DOH! Nothing like a server crash to end the year. I have the server back up but lost all the stuff I have done in the last month like the updated trailer page and junk. Maybe I will take this time to redo everything and clean up/update all my code.
UPDATE: I got the server up and running but it was complaining that files were missing or not loading so I decided to upgrade to Slackware 12. I'm doing the full install of everything so it better not complain that it doesn't have what it needs. It's nice to have the DVD version so I don't have to change six discs. Versions 10 and 11 of Slackware always chocked on install because some file or other always seemed to be corrupt.
So far, so good. Had some trouble getting PHP to work but it looks like it is working now.
