DOH! I totally didn't know Heroes was starting tonight until I heard a commercial on the radio this morning. I'll have to add my countdown to a new episode counter again. Last year's model didn't work so well on Macs so I'll have to QA it better when I get around to adding it.

Work continues to be exhausting. We have this big project coming up that is using a bunch of technology that we are just now getting to use so I will get to do some different stuff but I have to figure out how to use it first.

Addicting Flash Game of the Day is TG Motocross 3. I probably mentioned this one before but I have gone back to it the last week or two when I need to kill fifteen minutes.

I was just reading the specs on the Enemy Territory Quake Wars Linux server and it requires the 2.6 kernel. Both the DOH! Network and Deathcon servers are running 2.4 kernels so I won't be setting up a dedicated server for it until I can figure out how to update my kernel.

Not to worry High School Musical 2 fans. Disney has said it won't drop Vanessa Hudgens after nude pictures of her meant for Zac Efron showed up on the internet.

Shaka finally got his server rebuilt. There's not much to look at on the official Shaka Zulu website yet but it looks like those seven 'yes' votes on the DOH! poll a couple of months ago were enough to convince Shaka to bring back the Game Republic.

The California chapter of the Deathcon clan is getting smaller and smaller with news Grumpy Girl and Subotai are moving to New York. It should be easier to plan LANs now with only three members but three person LANs aren't as much fun as the ten person LANs of old.

You may have noticed if you frequent the site that it is up and down during the day the last couple of days. There's a problem with my connection from AT&T whenit is hot out. I have a service call into them by way of DSL Extreme. They are supposed to come out on Wednesday to take a look and see if they can figure out the problem.

You can download FarCry for free over on the File Planet site. Ii'd link directly to the download page but my internet connection is down at the moment.

The folks over at EA Games have released Command & Conquer Gold for free with a fix to let you run it on XP. Download it now from the official Command & Conquer website.

I don't think my modem likes the heat. It's getting real flaky the last couple of days. It worked for like an hour this morning so that I was able to do some fixes for an automated site update that was suppose to go live at midnight last night but didn't work. I feel like I'm working at the supermarket again. I can't make any plans for the weekend in case something breaks. It's really gotten me to thinking I need a career change. Maybe a groundskeeper for a golf course. That would be cool. Hang out on the greens all day. Or a pool man. Yea! A pool man.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has gone gold and should be on shelves the beginning of October. A demo is in the works too. Hopefully that comes out a little sooner so I can check it out and see if my pc will run it. Not like BioShock.

On the BioShock front, I figured out why it doesn't work on my pc. I have pixel shader 2 and it requires pixel shader 3. A gamer is working on hacking the code so it will work on PS2 and he's gotten really far but there are some textures that still aren't working. I'd link to his site but the modem is still out.
