I have been coding little modules lately and haven't been doing much testing in IE because I would be an enabler of Microsoft's crummy browser but I realized that even simple things I was building were not working in IE 8 and 9 and if I want to be a well rounded coder, I should be more accepting of inferior browsers since they are the most used browser so that everybody can enjoy my pointless rambling. So look for downgrades updates to the existing features on the site as I attempt to make a more enjoyable experience for everybody.

Recently I was able to convert some unused phone jacks to RJ45s so I could have a wired home network. I was thinking it would be a big hassle and where was Hookaman when I need him but it is suprisingly easy to put RJ45 connectors on cat5 cable when you have the right tools. NOTE: A flat head screwdriver is not good for crimping connectors.

So I have been checking out Amazon's streaming movies. What is up with captioning? I have watched two movies and can't find where to turn them on. The Amazon site says you have to look up movies with "CC". I haven't seen any. I like that Netflix has every title captioned. I just recently started up Netflix again so I haven't had a chance to check if it is keeping up with Amazon in terms of current movies streaming but Amazon does have quite a few current big name movies. A year ago when I had Netflix, the selection of current blockbusters was pretty slim. I haven't figured out Amazon's playlist yet either. I tried to add a few movies the other day but they didn't show up when I tried to view them on the television.
